Obituary

Stanley- Donna M. Palmer, age 72, formerly of Canandaigua and Shortsville, died Nov. 16, 2022 at Geneva General Hospital.

Services for Donna will be announced at a later date.Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shortsville American Legion, Post #34, 1513 Palmyra St., Shortsville, NY 14548.

Donna retired from Geneva General Hospital, where she had worked for 30 years. After her retirement she was a foster-grandparent for 5 years.

She was a member of the Shortsville American Legion.

Donna enjoyed visiting her friends. She loved reading and shopping.

Donna is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Tom Bryan) Bott, and Dawn Pfeifer; 4 grandchildren, Jacob Bott, Kayla Bott, Logan Pfeifer, Quinn (Melanie) Pfeifer; 1 great-granddaughter, Laura Pfeifer; sister, Julie (Bernie) Palmer; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, Walter C. and Irene Helen Raemen Dolleslager; and 3 nephews, Shane Palmer, Matthew Palmer and William Palmer.

So very sorry to hear of Donna’s passing. Donna used to babysit for our family when we lived on Route 96. We lived up the road from them She was a wonderful person and we’d see her in later years as they lived next to my aunt. Prayers for your family. She was a gentle soul and the world will miss her. Wow, I don't even know where to begin. So so many memories. Shopping, cruise, visiting, and many, many phone calls, camping trips, breakfast dates and so much more. Donna was such a sweet lady. We were in the Foster Grandparent program together. She always had a smile and a kind word. She will be missed. I enjoyed her company. She loved her family dearly. She talked about them often.
