Obituary
Penn Yan- Donald Vern Johncox, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 16 from 4-6 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A memorial service will be held following calling hours at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, P.O. Box 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
Donny was born on August 7, 1958, a son of Jack and Anna Jensen Johncox. He was a graduate of Marcus Whitman Central School. Donny was a go to guy when you need engine repair, especially small engine repair. He enjoyed tractor pulls and 4 wheeling in his younger years. Donny was a tractor building enthusiast, a hobby he shared with his dad, Jack. He was always trying to help someone in need.
Donny is survived by his wife, Patricia McCombs; children, Johnna (John) Gentner, Gavin McGrath, Catherine (Bill Grant) Woolaver and Brian (Samantha) Woolaver; grandchildren, Phoenix and Brooklyn Christensen, Violet, Jack and Dean Gentner, Lauryn Probst, Bella and Emma Grant and Theo Woolaver; his mother, Anna Johncox; siblings, Debra (Keith) VanGelder, Denise Johncox, Dawn (Wanda) Johncox-Martinez, Doug Johncox and Diana Johncox; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donny was predeceased by his father, Jack Johncox; and a daughter Jilisa Christensen.
