Obituary
David “Dave” Holmes, 52, of Pembroke, Kentucky, passed away on March 28, 2023.
He was born March 2, 1971 in Elmira, NY, and grew up in Stanley, NY.
He was a handyman who could fix anything from cars, to houses, to computers. He was artistic and loved his tattoos. Dave was a good man and a great father and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family and friends!
Dave was predeceased by his grandparents, Bill and Grace Holmes of Springwater, NY; and Rupert and Irene Wager.
He leaves behind his parents, Wayne and Vada Holmes of Springwater, NY; a brother, Greg (Bobbi) Holmes of Gouverneur, NY; a sister, Theresa (Kevin) Fitzpatrick of Penfield, NY; seven sons, Kaleb Thomas, Dante Holmes, Devon Holmes, David Holmes, Tyree Anglin, Gavin Johnston and Elijah Johnston; and his beloved daughter, Jenae Holmes; his 8 grandchildren, Kingston, Kymoni, Kaleb, Kenyan, Khloee, Khalil, Anthony and Santiago.
Private Services were held April 15th at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham, New York.
Burial will be in St. Theresa’s Cemetery, Stanley, New York.

To all of David's family, my sincere condolences on your loss. My memories of David are from his early life. His smile was infectious and his laugh was engaging. I had the privilege of coaching him in baseball. He was well liked and a great teammate. I know he will be missed by all. You're all in my prayers.
