Obituary
Christopher James Hood, 42 years old, of Canandaigua, NY passed away Friday, December 16, 2016.
Chris was born on November 15, 1974 in Clifton Springs, NY. He was a 1993 graduate of Canandaigua Academy and Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES for Conservation. He had a passion for cooking and enjoyed doing so for friends and family. Chris was full of life and loved to travel and dabble in various Asian cuisines. Chris was a very kind person who enjoyed volunteering and lending a helping hand to others. Chris genuinely loved his friends and family. He enjoyed family activities; he especially enjoyed get-a-ways with his friends and siblings. However, he always scheduled time to spend with his nieces and nephews.
Chris is survived by mother, Patricia A. Hood; sister, Heather M. Lyon and husband, Donald; nephews, Anthony and Aric; niece, Ashley; brother, Jason R. Hood; nieces, Emily and Jackie; brother, William Hood, Jr. and wife, Denise; nieces, Brittany and Eve; nephews Nathan and Eli; sister, Melissa J. Hood; nephews, Ethan and Atreyu; niece, Talana; Michael A. Hood’s children, Lindsey and Ryan; two great-nephews, Royce and Thomas; and a great-niece; Scarlett. as well as several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Chris was also survived by his paternal grandmother, Nancy E.H. Bowman.
He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Alton Bowman; father, William A. Hood, Sr.; brother, Michael A. Hood; and maternal grandparents, Milton and Carolyn Minns.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, immediately following is the funeral service. All services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Canandaigua, NY.
