Obituary
Canandaigua- Charles W. “Chuck” Tuttle, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 20th, 2019.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at the First Congregational Church, 58 N Main Street, Canandaigua.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Serenity House of Victor, Inc., 1278 Brace Road, Victor, NY 14564.
Chuck was born October 22, 1941, in Syracuse, NY. He was the son of the late Raymond F. Tuttle and Ruth Whiting Tuttle. Chuck graduated from Manlius High School and studied agriculture at the University of Georgia. By profession, he was a Science Teacher at the Rochester City School District for over 30 years and was a Beef Cattle Farmer for almost 65 years. Chuck was also a Volunteer Hospice Caregiver at the Serenity House where he served for many years. Chuck was known as a hardworking, warm-hearted friend and neighbor; he celebrated life to its fullest and brought much joy to others.
Chuck is survived by three daughters, Sarah Berner (Jesus Melendez) Tuttle, Laura Harriette Tuttle, and Marguerite Tanner; four grandchildren, Oliver Melendez-Tuttle, Sofia Melendez-Tuttle, Faith Mischa and Cory Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.
Chuck was predeceased by his wife, Sally Jane Berner Tuttle on June 12, 1992; by his parents; and by his sister, Barbara Rosenburg.
