Obituary

Bellona- Charles R. Alcock, age 74, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, with family at his side.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 14 from Noon until 4 p.m. at the Tomion’s Event Center, 200 Route 14a, Penn Yan, NY 14527.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bellona Volunteer Fire Company, 110 Pre-Emption Rd., Bellona, NY 14415 or a charity of  donor’s choice.

Charlie owned and operated Dead Frog Hollow Woodcraft. He had previously owned Good Time Charlie’s Bar in Geneva, and was known for Charlie’s Pig Roast. Charlie enjoyed gardening and yard work. He followed football, basketball and NASCAR.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Catherine; siblings, James (Joan) Alcock, Karen Fisher, Leslie Alcock, Judy Clark, Valerie (Andy) Croushorn and Bruce Alcock; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Charlie was predeceased by his parents,  Ralph and Marion Alcock; and his brother, David Alcock.

Charlie was a guy who was always at the Bellona Fire Departments turkey party.
When it was chicken BBQ time he was there too. He would say if you have any chicken left give me a call.

Charles was one of the greatest guys anyone would ever meet.
From fixing cars to some of the best parties in the area.
Living next door to Charlie, we spent a lot of time together as kids and through high school.
