Obituary
HOPEWELL- Charles M. “Chuck” Lehman, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 4, 2021, with his family by his side.
Friends may call Friday (March 19th) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham, in honor of both Chuck and his wife, Sandra, who passed away on April 29, 2020.
A Funeral Service for both Chuck and Sandra will be held Saturday (March 20th) at 11 a.m. at the Palmyra Reformed Church. Burial will be in the Palmyra Village Cemetery.
Chuck was born April 8, 1932 in Fishers, NY, the son of the late Carl and Florence (White) Lehman. He was a graduate of Victor High School. Chuck received an Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics from Morrisville State College; and an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from Alfred State College. Chuck retired as an Electrical Foreman from Mobil Chemical in Macedon.
Chuck was a life- member of the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department since 1961. He was active with the Morrisville State and Victor High School Alumni. Chuck was also a member of the Hopewell Historical Society and was a Free Mason. He enjoyed breakfast with friends and tinkering in his garage.
Chuck and his wife, Sandra, were avid Euchre players. They supported many community organizations and activities in Hopewell.
Chuck is survived by son, Bob (Brenda) Lehman; loving granddaughters, Rebecca and Emily Lehman; sister, Helen Dhondt; sister-in-law, Roberta (Leonard, Jr.) Main; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Chuck was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Sandra Dunk Lehman, on April 29, 2020; and his daughter, Eileen Marie Lehman, in 2009.
