Obituary
Rushville/Stanley- Charles C. Craig, age 88, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018 at his home, with loving family by his side.
Friends may call Friday (Dec. 28th) from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Dec. 29th) at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shuman Cemetery.

Charlie was the son of the late Ernest and Grace Craig. He married Eleanor DeCann on March 17, 1951. Charlie served with the NY Army National Guard for four years. He worked for Fellows Gas and Oil in Flint, NY, for 35 years, serving the Town of Seneca and surrounding areas with fuel deliveries and furnace maintenance. Charlie then worked at the Seneca Army Depot until his retirement in 1994.
Charlie was a life-time member of the Stanley Fire Company. He was Mr. Fixit to his family and friends. Charlie enjoyed deer hunting, and loved to dance. Going for coffee at Smugglers in Potter was a favorite activity.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eleanor “Ellie” Craig; son, Richard “Dick” (Debbie) Craig; daughter-in-law, Ruth Craig; son-in-law, Gary Putman; 8 grandchildren, Michael (Tisha) Putman, Michelle (Chris) Livermore, James (Maggie) Craig, Sean (Gina) Putman, Nicholle (Daryl) Yothers, Jennifer Craig, Brianne Craig and Leanne (Karl) Parsell; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by five sisters; one brother; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlie was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Putman in 1988; his son, Ronald Craig in 2018; and by one sister and three brothers.
