Bruce F. Schultz, Sr

Gorham- Bruce F. Schultz, Sr., age 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday (Oct. 14th)  from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral  Service will be held on Sunday (Oct. 15^th) at 2 p.m.. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.

Bruce was born on September 6, 1946 in Canandaigua to the late Raymond and Lydia Bassage Schultz. He was a graduate of Middlesex Valley Central School. On June 4, 1965 Bruce married Joanne M. Oberdorf at the Old Bethel Baptist Church in Gorham, Pastor Ralph Keyes officiated. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. Bruce loved fishing, snowmobiling and going to the Motocross Track where he would camp and watch his grandchildren race. He enjoyed reading his Bible.

Bruce retired from Kodak after 36 years of service. He drove school bus for several years and spent the last 26 years driving truck for MBI, as well as finding time to farm.

 Bruce is survived by three daughters, Vickie (Mike) Carpinelli, Veronica Schultz and Vanessa (Dave Horn) Schultz; one son, Bruce (Stephen Reale) Schultz, Jr.; 7 grandchildren, Jessica Martin, Joanna Fake, Lee Fake, Jr., Daykota Michaels, Jordyn Chappelle, John Chappelle, Jr. and Nicolette Carpinelli; great-granddaughter, Kate Martin; great-grandsons, Mason Martin and Cohan Jensen; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bruce was predeceased by his parents; wife, Joanne M. Schultz, on Nov. 10, 2021; daughter, Valerie L. Schultz on October 12, 2021; and siblings, Quentin Schultz, Allen Schultz, Norma Miller and Casper Schultz.
