GENEVA- Brenda M. Bailey, age 54, died Monday, November 5, 2018 at Clifton Springs Hospital, with her beloved husband at her side.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday (Nov. 17th) at 11 a.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.

Brenda was born March 29, 1964 in Geneva, NY. She was the daughter of Theresa Dunn Ross and the late James E. Ross, Sr.

Brenda had worked at the Geneva Lakefront Childcare Center and at The Deluxe in Geneva.

Brenda adored and was a fierce protector of her children and grandchildren; they were her “everything”. She also enjoyed going to Turning Stone and Del Lago; and playing Yahtzee with friends and family.

Her laugh was both unmistakable and contagious. Brenda was selfless and exhibited undeniable strength as she battled her illness.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jeffrey Bailey; four children, Jessica (Dominick) DeFazio, Tonya (Perry Wright) Lisi, Brianna (William Velez III) Bailey and Adam Bailey; 4 grandchildren, Mason and Dominick DeFazio, and Logan and Cora Velez; and four step-grandchildren, Morgan, Daniel and Kaitlyn Wright and Brooklynne Velez; her mother, Theresa Ross; six siblings, James Ross, Jr., Frank (Nancy) Ross, Rusty (Susan) Ross, Barry (Lisa) Ross, Bonnie (Jeff Mengel) Adams and Sandy Doty; one sister-in-law, Colleen “Sissy” (Steve) Schroeder; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Brenda was predeceased by her father, James E. Ross, Sr.; one sister, Sherry Cardinale; four brothers-in-law, Al Cardinale, Danny Doty, Robert Bailey and William Bailey; her father and mother-n-law, Colin and Martha Bailey; her maternal grandparents, Earl and Frances Dunn; and her paternal grandparents, Clayson and Ellen Ross.
