Barbara J. Gage

Penn Yan – Barbara J. Gage, age 90, passed away on May 3, 2022.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday (May 7^th) at Gorham Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Chilidren’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Orrin John and Gladys Gage.

She was a graduate of Gorham High School. Barb went to Rochester as a young woman to go to training school, where she learned to use a comptometer.  Barb was an independent career woman who lived with and cared for her parents until their passing.

Barbara had been a secretary for Agway, and retired from the Yates County Office for Aging in Penn Yan.

Barbara enjoyed Bingo. She also enjoyed visiting with people, and making house calls to clients when she worked for the Office for Aging.

Barbara is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Aleta Bordwell; and three brothers, Gilbert, Willis and Donald Gage.
