Obituary
Hall- Barbara A. Wohlschlegel, age 87, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 23, 2021.
Friends may call Wednesday (May 26th) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A private family Funeral will be held. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
A Celebration Service will be held Saturday (June 19th) at 1 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Geneva, with a dish-to-pass meal to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3142 Johnson Rd., Geneva, NY 14456; or to LeTourneau Christian Center, 4950 Co. Rd. 11, Rushville, NY 14544.
Barbara was born April 20, 1934 in Naples, NY, to the late Jacob B. Wohlschlegel and Julia F. Peck Wohlschlegel. She was a graduate of Naples Central School. Barbara worked in offices for GLF-Agway, in Canandaigua and in Geneva, and retired from W-FL BOCES in Newark.
Barbara enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn. She was an active member of the Grace Baptist Church, and was always busy helping others. Barbara was also an accomplished writer and was a member of the American Christian Writers’ Assn.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Roger Wohlschlegel; 7 nieces and nephews, Jerald (Judi) Wohlschlegel, Judy (John) Roman, David (Kim) Wohlschlegel, Diane ( Robert) Valder, Mary Ann (Robert) Anderson, Mark (Kathy) Wohlschlegel and Rebecca (Tim) Green; many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
Barbara was pre-deceased by her brother, Neil Wohlschlegel, her sister, Mae Ellen Wohlschlegel, her sister-in-law, Leona Wohlschlegel and her nephew, Barry Wohlschlegel.
