Obituary
Gorham- Anthony C. Capozzi, Jr., age 76, died on Friday, April 29, 2016.
Family and Friends may call Thursday (May 5th) from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Funeral Service will be held Friday (May 6th) at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Joshua Sonoga will officiate. Burial will be in Gorham Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the V.A. M.C., Activities Fund, 400 Fort Hill Ave., Canandaigua, NY 14424; or to the Wayne County ARC, 150 Van Buren St., Newark, NY 14513.
Anthony was owner and operator of Nino’s Antique Shop in Gorham for the past 42 years. He also was a caretaker for ARC clients in his home for many years. Anthony was a graduate of Auctioneer school in the Midwest. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Church. Anthony was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Anthony is survived by his brother, David (Sally) Helfer; and their sons, Jim Helfer and Joshua (Stephanie St. Claire) Helfer; sister-in-law, Michelle Capozzi; nieces and nephews, Donald (Laurie) Capozzi, Ken (Shelly) Capozzi, Michelle (Gary) Garlock, Jeneane (Joshua) Sonoga, Yvonne (Christopher) Galliher, James (Loretta) Bickel and Linda Morris; uncle, John Capozzi; cousin, John (Susan) Capozzi, Jr.; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony C. Capozzi, Sr., and Beatrice Louise Gee Capozzi; sister, Janet Bickel; and brother, Donald Capozzi.
