Obituary
Stanley – Amelia “Babe” DeBoover Jensen, age 96, died peacefully at home surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday (Feb. 24th) at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church in Stanley.

Amelia was born November 23, 1920 to Molly and John DeBoover and grew up in Phelps, New York. She graduated from Phelps High School and then worked at Sears Roebuck in Geneva. Amelia was a devoted wife and mother, whose happiest moments were when she was in the presence of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Donald Jensen; and sister, Mary Bree.
Amelia is survived by her five children, Kathleen (Dennis) Doyle of Charlotte, NC, Margaret (John) Marino of Conesus, NY, Ann Rouse of Pittsford, NY, Donald II (Ann) of Stanley, NY and Mary Ellen Pulver (Steve) of Stanley, NY; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack DeBoover and several nieces and nephews.
Amelia had a special fondness for her granddaughter Kelley Jensen, who cared for her the years she was ill. The family wishes to thank the nurses’ aides for the gentle care they provided, and especially love and thanks to Kelley.
