Obituary
Canandaigua- Reggie O’Hearn, Sr., age 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Rochester General Hospital, with his family at his side.
Friends may call Monday, (June 12th) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Reggie and Diana’s Barn, 4117 Co. Rd. 18, Canandaigua. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Barn. Pastor Jim Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Rushville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Reggie was a licensed real estate broker and owner of Reggie O’Hearn Real Estate. He was employed as a Code Enforcement Officer for the Village of Rushville, and was a zoning and planning consultant. Reggie was a former Code Enforcement Officer for the Village of Naples, and a former member of the Town of Gorham Zoning and Planning Board. He was the founder of the Yates County Code Enforcement Association and was president for several years.
Reggie’s faith in God and love of his family was unconditional and unsurpassed. He loved life and lived it to its fullest in all that he did. Reggie loved his horses, enjoyed rodeo exhibitions and time with his loving wife, Diana, trail riding and camping.
A life long resident of Crystal Beach, Reggie is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Diana; daughter, Tricia (Jason) Phillips of Canandaigua, NY; son, Reggie Jr. (Sophia) O’Hearn of Clifton Springs, NY; and daughter, Doreen (Ray) DeGroat of Canandaigua, NY; and four grandchildren, Tiffany (Jeff) Senkiw, Trent (Jen) Jones, Connor Phillips and Lorelei Phillips; and sisters, Mary Block of Rushville, NY; and Clara Frere of Canandaigua, NY, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Francis O’Hearn; and his infant daughter, Paulette.
