Obituary

Rushville – Betty S. Clark, age 74, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.

Friends may call Saturday (March 20th) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Private Memorial Service for Family will be held Sunday (March 21st) at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Rushville.

A Public Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on July 14, 2021, with details to be announced.

Betty was born July 14, 1946 in Canandaigua, NY. She was the daughter of the late George and Jean (White) Semmler. Betty was a 1964 graduate of Bloomfield Central School; and a 1968 graduate of Geneseo Teacher’s College. On June 29, 1968, she married Donald A. Clark in the Ionia United Methodist Church.

Betty was a member of the Rushville Congregational Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher. She was a long-time Girl Scout Leader. Betty was the librarian at the Mabel D. Blodgett Reading Center in Rushville, and was the Historian for the Village of Rushville for three years.

Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald A. Clark; four children, Lisa Jean (Shawn) Thompson, Heather Bassett, Cory (Heather Kay) Clark and Erin (Jim) Santonastaso IV; 8 grandchildren, Korey Thompson, Whitney Thompson, Luke Bassett, Elijah Bassett, Cameron Clark, Hailey Clark, James Santonastaso and Annabella Santonastaso; three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Alex and Colton Thompson; two brothers, Donald Semmler and Bruce (Peggy) Semmler; one sister, Vicki (Gary) Smith; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
